Requesting an Appointment

We are excited that you have chosen Life Care Animal Hospital for your pet’s medical care!

New Client Deposit

When you contact our office to schedule your pet’s initial appointment, our staff will request a non-refundable deposit to be paid when scheduling this appointment. This deposit will be applied as a credit toward your pet’s first appointment.

Appointment Policies

Our goal at Life Care Animal Hospital is to provide high-quality, individualized medical care in a timely manner to your canine and feline family members. A veterinary-client-patient relationship is built on mutual trust and respect. As such, we strive to be on time for your scheduled appointments and ask the same of our clients.

Late Arrivals

If you and your pet arrive 10 minutes or more after your scheduled appointment time, you will be asked to reschedule your pet’s appointment to a different day, and if this is your first appointment, the deposit will be forfeited.

Rushing through your appointment or “squeezing in” your pet is not preferred as it can reduce the time our veterinarians have to provide each pet with the quality of care we strive for and inconveniences other clients who have appointments.

By providing notice to move or cancel an appointment within the above requested time frames, we may be able to accommodate other patients in need.


We understand that life happens, and plans can change, so if you can no longer make it to your scheduled appointment, we ask to be notified as soon as possible. We kindly ask for a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel your pet’s appointment.

Appointment No-Shows

In the event of a no-call, or no-show the deposit will be forfeited to Life Care Animal Hospital. It will no longer apply to any future appointments that are scheduled. In this circumstance, a new deposit will need to be paid to reschedule your pet’s appointment.

Your First Visit

When you and your pet walk through our doors, you will be greeted by a courteous customer service representative, clean exam rooms, friendly doctors, and caring technicians. We ask that all dogs are in a secure travel crate or on a leash and all cats are contained in a carrier. This is to ensure the safety of your pet and others.

After checking in at our front desk, a member of our team will meet you in the lobby and escort you to an examination room. We will ask a few questions and measure your pet’s vital signs. One of our veterinarians will then examine your pet, address any concerns you may have, and work with you to create an individual care plan based on your pet’s species, breed, age, current medical condition, and previous veterinary care. 

This is a great time to ask questions! Our veterinary team wants to ensure you’re completely comfortable with the information we are providing and the care your pet is receiving.
